In memory

A found haiku:

In memory of
Those who lost their lives in the
Building of this bridge
______

Photo taken on the Ben Franklin Bridge, Philadelphia/Camden

Editor's note: This is my first serendipitous haiku finding, even if the haiku was likely unintentional. But whatever the case, it's a poignant reminder for us to remember those who died in the construction of the Ben Franklin Bridge and all construction workers who have died from building projects that were created to benefit humanity. This article from 2019 shares just how dangerous these projects have been over the years-- over 30,000 deaths just for the Panama Canal's construction, for example. Thank you to all construction workers who put their lives on the line for the betterment of fellow men and women-- please be safe!
