Growing up, I enjoyed building with Legos and Lincoln Logs.
Though I had fun following the instructions and assembling the model building on a Lego set or a Lincoln Log box, I also liked freewheeling and creating my own buildings.
I was a big baseball fan as a kid, so the idea to construct my own Lego baseball stadium spurred my imagination. Just plop a big bucket of pieces in front of me, and in due time my own Field of Dreams would be built.
I didn’t always know exactly what the final building would look like ahead of time, but that was the whole point. The journey to get there engaged me, not just following a manual step-by-step.
So what does one do with a pile of sticks?
One option: make a tissue box holder.
There’s no instruction manual when it comes to sticks.
