One Sole Seed

Watermelon epitomizes delicious summer food.

Cold, refreshing, saccharine. The perfect snack on a hot day.

I cut this seedless watermelon this week. In it, I found one, sole seed.

If this were any other year, I’d spit it out in the sink and forget about it.

But with this being 2020, I caught myself thinking–

“What if this is the last watermelon seed on Earth?”

A tragedy if there ever was one.

Alas, that evil thought quickly disappeared after my first bite.

I think my blood sugar was just a little low.

Have a sweet weekend, friends.
